CM traveled to NHTI Saturday for an opportunity to secure first place in the Yankee conference standings.  The Lynx had other ideas and throttled the Mustangs 80-66 on a day where former athletic director Paul Hogan was celebrated with the naming of the floor.

In a game where CM seemed to be playing catch up most of the first half, the Lynx continued to hit shots and extend their halftime lead to 19 points.

CM shot a miserable 5-27 from the arc and got dominated on the boards.  Coach Gonyea commented, “We can’t compete if we don’t work harder and bring more intensity to the game. We seemed to be content with simply launching shots and not getting to the rack. This was a disappointing day for the Mustangs. However, we will regroup and go after SMCC on Wednesday.”

Cam Pollock and Boston Caldwell led CM with 13 points each.
