For the second straight year three women’s basketball team members earned YSCC All-Conference Accolades. Voted on by the women’s basketball head coaches, Luna Love (Zwolle, Netherlands) and Kali Thompson (Waterville, ME) were named to the All-Conference Second Team. Emily Strachan (Lewiston, ME) was the lone Mustang recognized as All-Conference First Team.

Love, Strachan, and Thompson all serve as captains of the women’s basketball team and are statistical leaders not only for their team, but within the Yankee Conference and USCAA.

The awards were presented at the YSCC All-Conference banquet earlier this evening at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch. The women’s basketball team was also recognized at the banquet for winning the YSCC Regular Season Championship. This marks the 6th consecutive season in which the Mustangs earned this honor. They went undefeated in conference play, which marks the first time this has happened within the conference since the 2018-19 season.

According to Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Andrew Morong, “We are pleased that Emily, Luna, and Kali were recognized for their hard work this season. All three of them are great leaders, people, and basketball players. It has been an honor being part of their lives for the past two-plus years, and we look forward to continuing our hard work together over the next couple of weeks. I know Emily, Luna, and Kali are happy about these awards, but are more proud of our team award and are already focused on the actual goal at hand.”
