On Sunday, March 2, former Edward Little High School standout Drew Smith’s current college team, the UConn Huskies, won 6-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
The game took place at Jackie Robinson Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Commodores this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field against Miami Hurricanes.
