Hometown Careers continue to be going strong in Lewiston!  Congratulations are extended to Jacob Dostie of Public Works upon his promotion to Heavy Equipment Officer.  Jacob began his tenure with Lewiston Public Works on Dec. 7, 2020, after having worked for Minot and Auburn public works.

Since joining the Lewiston team, he has become a tremendous asset in several areas, especially with his abilities as a snow fighter.  He has an energetic can-do attitude, and his humor keeps the day upbeat.  Just today, Public Works received a resident call praising Jacob’s performance, noting she is “so grateful” to engage with such a “respectful and helpful public works person!”

His promotion to Heavy Equipment Operator comes with many new opportunities, to include upgrading from a Class B license to a Class A CDL.  Upon obtaining his Class A, he can drive tractor trailers with which Public Works transports heavy equipment and large quantities of snow.  On non-work time, he enjoys family time with his wife and boys.
