Mayor Carl L. Sheline Proclaims March 10, 2023, as International Social Emotional Learning Day in Lewiston!
Mayor Sheline is building awareness of SEL (social emotional learning) through a proclamation that can be read below and at www.lewistonmaine.gov/selday2023
He notes, “SEL improves academic outcomes, builds a positive school climate, and provides children with necessary skills to support success in today’s workforce.” He also applauds Lewiston Public Schools administrators, facilitators, and coaches for integrating SEL activities into their workdays.
