Mayor Carl L. Sheline attended/spoke at a Civil Air Patrol Ceremony the evening of 10/6/22 at the local Airport.  He thanked the Lewiston-Auburn Composite Squadron for the invitation and added, “As you know, the role that Civil Air Patrol cadets play in our community is critical. They support our emergency responses, provide ground and aviation services, and youth education. We are here today to honor their work and especially Cadet Haggerty’s service for the communities of Lewiston-Auburn.

And what an impressive accomplishment that  – after five years of hard work and dedication – our very own Cadet Captain Sean Haggerty has finished phase three of cadet training and earned the Amelia Earhart Award, putting him in the top 5 percent of cadets nationwide. Cadet Haggerty, thank you for your devotion to the Civil Air Patrol and our community. I wish you the best of luck in your impressive pursuits, and I am proud of the work you are doing to protect and support Lewiston.

Congratulations on your promotion and thank you – and all of the Lewiston-Auburn Composite Squadron – for serving our community. We are grateful for your commitment and tireless efforts to ensure our safety and encourage future community leaders.”
