Veterans Day provides a very meaningful time of reflection regarding all those who have served in the United States military.  At 10 am on that day, Nov. 11, join Mayor Carl L. Sheline at the LA Veterans Council’s annual ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park (corner of Main/Lincoln); attendees are encouraged to bring their own chair.

The keynote speaker will be author Captain Jack Flowers who will share about his Vietnam experiences as a tunnel rat in the Army’s 1st Infantry Division. There will also be an eight-piece All Volunteer Brass Band along with a bagpipe player. There will also be color guards from area veterans’ posts, as well as the Lewiston High School Junior Air Force ROTC.

The 34th memorial stone with the Space Force logo and a bench in memory of veteran Bert Dutil will also be unveiled.

Also on Nov. 11, Museum LA, 35 Canal Street, will offer free entry to veterans and their families.
