Incumbent Republican Party candidate Joshua Morris won re-election for the House seat in District 75 overcoming Democrat John Nutting.
Writing on Facebook, Morris extended his gratitude to those who supported and voted for him.
“Re-elected! Thank you to the voters of Leeds, Livermore, and Turner who have trusted me to continue serving you for another 2 years!” he posted.
Opponent Nutting also took to Facebook to appreciate the support he got from those who voted for him.
“I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped with the campaign and worked so incredibly hard.
“The Maine Senate will still be 21 to 14 Democratic, and the Maine House will have approximately 80 Democrats, which is a majority. I think collectively we all did everything we could, and this area now is just an immovable object,” read the post in part.
