Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Names the 2022 Annual Award Winners

The LA Metro Chamber has named four individuals, one business, and one community initiative for this year’s Annual Awards.  These awards honor outstanding dedication to our area, making the LA Region a better place to live, work and play. 

This year’s Annual Awards winners are:

Ray Geiger Chamber Champion: Jim “Jimbo” Marston, Publisher/CEO of LA Metro Magazine & Uncle Andy’s Digest

Ken Additon Economic Development Champion: Bennett Radio Group, WIGY Radio

Theresa Samson Women’s Business Leadership: Amy Smith, Board Member of Healthy Neighborhoods, Founder of Healthy Homeworks, Founder of Lewiston Rowing

Leading Through Change: Betsy Libby, President of Central Maine Community College

Heart of the Community: Fatuma Hussein, Founder & Executive Director of the Immigrant Resource Center of Maine

President’s Award: Central Maine High-Volume Vaccination Clinic; Central Maine Healthcare, Auburn Fire Department, Maine National Guard

“This year’s nominations underscored all of the contributions to the economy and quality of life throughout the region as a result of the hard work and dedication by so many individuals, businesses and organizations. Every single nomination reflected this, and this year’s selection was challenging. Each of our award winners have made significant contributions in, and beyond, their own area of work. We are proud to highlight their successes, from which we all benefit and can all celebrate” said Shanna Cox, President + CEO of the LA Metro Chamber. 

The LA Metro Chamber is proud to recognize these exemplary individuals, businesses, and a community initiative, and welcomes members of the community to help congratulate the 2022 winners of this year’s Annual Awards.
