Kelsey Boucher, the K-6 Visual Arts Educator at Lewiston’s Robert V. Connors Elementary School, was recognized at the 5/17/22 Lewiston City Council meeting as the Androscoggin County Teacher of the Year. The Maine Department of Education and the non-profit Educate Maine recently announced the 16 county teachers of the year who are now in the running for the State Teacher of the Year Award.
Mayor Carl L. Sheline noted, "We are so proud that a Lewiston educator has received this distinguished honor. Thank you for sharing your skills, talents, and creativity with Lewiston children, opening their eyes to new and exciting possibilities. You are indeed another reason why opportunity lives here!"
