Congratulations to LPD Officer Joseph "The Donut Destroyer" Dighton, and his partner, Loyd Morneault, for taking first place in todays annual Special Olympics Donut Eating Contest (Auburn PD, Lisbon PD, State Police, Air Force, Androscoggin County SO), hosted by Dunkin Donuts (Norm Boulay). It was a great morning with tons of enthusiasm and friendly competition. It was great to see the community come out to support such a great event. Thanks to 100.3 Hot Radio Maine and our local Government Officials (Rep. Jon Connors and LPS School Committee members, Janet Beaudoin and Meghan Hird) for supporting this event. Also want to give a huge thank you to all the local businesses that helped make this event such a success; Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Luiggi's, The Sweet Spot, Tina's Nails, Boba Thai, Cruisin Pizza, Cowbell, Grant's Bakery, Webb's Market, Val's Drive-In, The Parlor Tattoos, Strawberry Fields, Poisson & Son's Oil Change and Premier Pools.
