At the 10/4/22 City Council meeting, Mayor Carl L. Sheline recognized the self-taught skills of local artist Lynn Albert Leger who spent 122 hours carving a 3 x 3 black slate city seal that is on display in City Administration. Mayor Sheline also presented Mr. Leger with a personalized copy of the reference book he used to teach himself sculpting skills. Mr. Leger was also commended for sharing his craftsman skills with others in the community to actively sustain this type of artistry.
