The State candidate election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, and absentee ballots for Lewiston voters are currently available from the City Clerk’s Office. All pending requests for absentee ballots have been filled, and 1,457 ballots were mailed on October 4. The statewide deadline to request an absentee ballot is 4 pm, Thursday, November 3. Registered Lewiston voters wishing to obtain an absentee ballot may order one via four methods
1) Call the City Clerk’s Office at 513-3124
2) Submit an application form via the mail or red City Hall outside drop box; application can be downloaded from the City’s website
3) In person at the City Clerk’s Office, located on the second floor of City Hall, 27 Pine Street; office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
4) Online from the City’s election website
In addition the City's early absentee voting polling place will be run at Lewiston City Hall October 13 through November 3, excluding weekends. Hours are 9 :00 am – 4:00 pm.
Races on this year’s ballot include: Representative to Congress, Governor, State Senator, Representatives to the Legislature, Judge of Probate, Sheriff, District Attorney and County Commissioner.
