Lewiston City Leads Challenge Coin was presented to Lewiston resident Bob Reed | Lewiston City
A Lewiston Leads Challenge Coin was presented to Lewiston resident Bob Reed at the Dec. 20 City Council meeting by Ward 4 City Councilor Rick LaChapelle, recognizing his long-time civic engagement and encouraging others to become involved.
Bob and his wife raised their children here, and he has been actively involved in many facets of the community. He was involved with the Boy's Club followed by 25 years in scouting; municipal board service such as the Lewiston City Council and Finance Committee; the Naming Committee for Connors School; five years on the Looking Ahead Clubhouse Advisory Board serving those with physical or mental health challenges seeking to re-enter the workforce; and many community endeavors such as establishing a "Buddy Up" YWCA scholarship with dedicated funds for those unable to pay for swimming lessons.
Bob has also professionally served for over 30 years in the health care reimbursement and finance field and is currently the Executive Director of the Maine Chiropractor Association. He is also co-chair of the Maine Alliance of Healthcare Professionals and has been a frequent appointee to various Medicare projects representing various healthcare entities. Congratulations, Bob!
