Students in the CM Wooden Car Derby summer program had a great time today decorating and fine-tuning their cars. They started on Monday in the building construction lab with a block of wood, which they each cut and sanded into their own design. On Tuesday, the students spent time in the precision machining lab where they created custom wheels for their cars. Today, the students started in the graphic communications lab where they added vinyl designs to make each race car unique. As a bonus, each student learned about dye sublimation and created their very own keychain! Tomorrow is the big race where all six students have the opportunity to see how fast their cars can go. Stay tuned for more photos and videos!
