48 percent of applicants to Maine College of Health Professions were admitted for fall 2018

At Maine College of Health Professions, 55 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 90 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private not-for-profit institution in Lewiston enrolled 177 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 36.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of Maine, and 18 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (85 percent) and two or more races (3 percent).

The school admitted 48 percent of the 23 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 100 percent enrolled.
